Insurance and damage handling when moving
Author: Herkules-Trans Bt. · Last updated: 21 October 2026
We work with full liability insurance. If damage occurs during transport, in the case of major damage we record it in a report on site. The crew leader investigates on site, and if it is clear that we caused the damage, in the case of minor damage we aim to settle it on the spot. You don't have to argue with the movers or correspond afterwards.

How do we prevent damage?
- We work with a permanent crew that has been the same for many years.
- Furniture is secured in the cargo hold; fragile items, pictures and electronics are packed separately in bubble wrap and corrugated cardboard.
- In rain and snow we protect the furniture with film; the move goes ahead.
- We always bring tools for disassembling and reassembling furniture.
- On request we do the complete packing and unpacking.
What can you do for a safe move?
- Point out valuable, fragile or special items (piano, safe, artwork) at the survey: we give an individual transport solution and price for these.
- If you pack yourself, mark fragile items separately on the box.
- Take documents, jewellery, cash and medication with you personally.
