How much does furniture storage cost?

The storage fee is based on the volume required in cubic metres, billed daily or monthly. So the first question is always how many belongings are involved: the contents of a studio flat take up a different volume than the furniture of a three-bedroom apartment. We estimate the cubic metres at the free on-site survey or by video call, and confirm the price in writing before storage begins.

Collection and delivery are charged at our usual moving rates: HUF 18,000 base fee + HUF 18,000/hour with a 20 m³ truck and 2 movers, HUF 24,000 + HUF 24,000/hour with 3 people. If storage is part of a move, it is not two separate trips but one route: from the old address to the warehouse, and later from the warehouse to the new address. When is furniture storage a good solution?

The most common situation is when the old apartment has to be handed over before the new one is ready. In that case your furniture doesn't wait in a stairwell or a friend's garage, but in a dry, closed warehouse.

• Between selling and buying: there are often weeks between handing over the old property and taking possession of the new one.
• During a renovation: the contractor needs empty rooms, but it would be a shame to throw the furniture away.
• While working abroad: the apartment is let out, and your own furniture goes into storage.
• When changing offices: temporary storage of surplus office furniture and files after the move.
• For estates and inheritance: when the heirs need time to decide what stays, see estate clearance.

Under what conditions do we store furniture?

In a dry, secure warehouse, with no limit on quantity. We protect the furniture with the same packing materials we use for moving: bubble wrap, stretch film, corrugated paper and furniture blankets. Upholstered and high-gloss pieces are stored wrapped, and furniture that can be dismantled is stored flat-packed, so it takes up less space and is less likely to be damaged.

Stored belongings are insured. The insurance terms and the value limit are set out in the written quote, so you can see what is covered before storage begins.

How long can you store your furniture, and can you access it in the meantime?

We offer both short- and long-term storage, billed daily or monthly, so a two-week bridging period or six months of storage are both possible. There is no minimum commitment period.

You can access your stored furniture during storage. Please let us know in advance when you would like to come, so that our colleagues can prepare and accompany your visit. If you only need a few pieces, we can also deliver them to you.

How does the furniture get to the warehouse, and back again?

With us, storage is not a separate service but part of the move: the same team packs, transports and stores, so there is no handover between two companies. boxes for this too against a deposit, and packing materials appear as a separate item in the quote.

Our service area is Budapest and Pest County; from our base in Érd we also reach the southern part of the agglomeration: moving in Érd. If the move starts or ends outside Budapest, the terms of our countryside moving apply.
