We know that clearing an estate is an emotionally demanding task. Our team works with tact, at the family’s pace, and we always check before removing anything permanently.
How much does estate clearance cost?
For estate clearance fixed price we provide in writing after a free on-site survey. The amount depends on the size of the apartment, the quantity of belongings, the floor and whether there is a lift, and how much can be donated or recycled. The price includes sorting, carrying down, transport and proper disposal, and it does not change at the end of the job.
What happens to the furniture, documents and personal belongings?
The job starts with sorting, together with the heirs. Documents, photos, jewellery, cash and anything that may be a family keepsake are set aside and never go to the skip without consultation. If you wish, we deliver the items to be kept to your address, or store themuntil you decide what to do with them.
We are happy to take furniture and clothing that are still usable to a charity as well (for example the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service or the Red Cross), if you have agreed the handover with them in advance. Anything that cannot be used goes to an official waste processing centre.
When can clearing an inherited apartment begin?
We do not give legal advice on probate proceedings and cannot help with the paperwork. We start the clearance once the heirs are in agreement: most families call us after probate has been closed, before the apartment is sold or let. If the property has to be handed over urgently, we can offer a date at short notice after the survey.
How long does it take?
We usually clear the estate of an average apartment, including sorting, within one working day. For a larger family house with a cellar and attic, we plan for two days. The exact schedule is agreed at the survey, and we adapt to the family's pace: if more time is needed for sorting, we won't rush you.
