We have transported antique furniture, paintings, sculptures, works of art and other valuables within Budapest, across Hungary and abroad since 1999, with full liability insurance. Paintings and mirrors travel upright with corner protectors and corrugated cardboard; antique furniture is wrapped in blankets and film and secured in the cargo area. We set the price individually based on the size and value of the item and the loading conditions.

We pre-pack paintings and other valuable furnishings. We move antique furniture and musical instruments with care tailored to their individual characteristics, with great experience and professionalism.

Transporting the valuables of a medical museum

Antique furniture transport and moving

Antique furniture needs different handling from a modern flat-pack wardrobe. Veneer, inlay, French polish and old glue joints are sensitive to pressure and temperature changes, and a loose leg or a cracked drawer front breaks during loading, not during transport.

That is why we pack antique pieces individually: corners and edges are protected with corrugated paper and bubble wrap, glossy surfaces with tissue paper, and only then do the furniture blanket and stretch film go on. Drawers and glazed doors are removed or secured, and moving parts are tied down. In the cargo area, the pieces are placed side by side and strapped down, never stacked on top of each other.

Paintings, sculptures, clocks and porcelain

We transport paintings upright, with frame protectors and corner pieces, never lying flat or stacked. Porcelain and glass are wrapped piece by piece and placed in separately marked boxes. For pendulum and grandfather clocks, the pendulum and weights must be removed before transport; if a clockmaker is needed for this, it is worth arranging in advance.
