How much does a move cost in Budapest?
The price of a move depends on several factors: the quantity of belongings, the distance between the two addresses, the floors and whether a lift can be used. We carry out a free, no-obligation preliminary on-site survey (even by video call), on the basis of which we give an accurate written quote with no hidden costs. Indicative prices: HUF 18,000 + VAT base fee + HUF 18,000/hour + VAT with a 20 m³ truck and 2 movers, HUF 24,000 + VAT + HUF 24,000/hour + VAT with 3 movers; call-out is free in Budapest. How big a truck and how many movers does a flat need?
For transporting a few pieces of furniture or a studio flat, a 20 m³ truck with 2 movers is enough. For a medium, 1–2 room flat we recommend a 20 m³ truck and a crew of 3. A large flat, a family house or an office needs a 40 m³ truck and 4–6 movers. We assess and recommend this at the survey; you do not have to work it out yourself.
Who arranges the entry permit and the parking space?
Both are possible: we can arrange it, or you can, and we will tell you where the truck needs to be. In the inner-city districts (I, V, VI, VII) the entry permit must be started before the move; its fee and the zone-based parking fee are not part of the base fee and appear as a separate item in the quote.
Why is the preliminary on-site survey free?
For the company, it's important for accurate logistics planning (how many trucks and movers are needed), while for the customer it guarantees no surprises on moving day.
Do you also handle international moves?
Yes. We also handle the international moves of companies and private individuals all over Europe. If you are moving from Hungary to a destination outside the European Union, we also take care of the customs clearance; for moves back to Hungary we advise you on it.
What happens if the furniture doesn't fit through the door or the stairwell?
For such cases we use a special external furniture lift, which lowers or raises furniture through the window — suitable for almost any size or weight.
Is temporary storage available?
Yes, with flexible pricing based on cubic metres, daily or monthly billing and no limit on quantity, we offer both short-term and long-term furniture storage.
Are my belongings insured during transport?
Yes, we have full liability insurance under the terms of the Central European Mutual Insurance Association.
