Countryside moving prices 2026: from Budapest to the countryside and back

For moves to or from the countryside the hourly rate is the same as in Budapest: HUF 18,000 per hour with 2 movers, HUF 24,000 per hour with 3, HUF 36,000 per hour with 4 and HUF 52,000 per hour with 6 movers, charged until unloading is finished. The call-out fee depends on the distance and the road tolls and is therefore quoted individually, in writing, once we know both exact addresses. There is no surcharge for a longer route, only the actual extra costs: fuel, tolls and working time.

Each additional mover is +HUF 6,000 on both the call-out fee and the hourly rate. The minimum charge is the call-out fee + 2 hours of labour.

What determines the price of a countryside move?

  • Distance and tolls: the call-out fee is made up of these, so we ask for both exact addresses.
  • Quantity and crew size: we recommend the crew size after the survey; the number of movers determines the hourly rate.
  • Working time: the hours are counted from departure until unloading is finished, just as in Budapest.
  • Loading conditions: floor, lift, distance to parking. There is no separate floor surcharge.

Pest County, the suburbs and Érd

In Pest County and the suburbs there is no free call-out: we quote the call-out fee once we know the exact addresses. Between Érd and the far side of Budapest a round trip can be up to 80 km, so we do not give a fixed call-out fee here either. The hourly rate is the Budapest rate.

How long does it take?

Smaller quantities can be moved anywhere within Hungary in one day. Larger moves take one day up to roughly 120 km; beyond that, one long day or two days. We also move between two countryside locations, not only to or from Budapest.

What is not included in the call-out fee?

Zone-based parking fees, access permits, packing materials (tape, film, bubble wrap: separate items in the quote). Safes, pianos, upright pianos, fireplaces, grills, large standing printers and industrial machinery are priced individually.
